Food options at Rypetoppen

After a day filled with climbing, zip-lining, and other exciting activities, it feels especially good to grab a bite to eat and take a break. At Rypetoppen, we serve burgers, hot dogs, and pizza—perfect for recharging your batteries after the day’s adventures.

For those of you who’d like to bring your own food, we also have plenty of pleasant barbecue areas available. On nice days, you can enjoy your meal outdoors in the sun at one of our many benches, with a view of the park’s natural surroundings.

If the weather happens to be a little less than ideal, you’re more than welcome to come inside Langhuset. There’s seating for up to 50 people and plenty of room to gather around a warm meal in a cozy setting.

For larger groups, we can also, upon request, collaborate with external partners to offer more refined cuisine and custom menus for both lunch and dinner. We’d be happy to help you come up with suggestions tailored to your group and your experience with us.

Wonderful experience. It was a wonderful stay for our family at the Dome. Stunning views and beautiful nature. We stayed at the Dome for two nights. Carl made our stay a true pleasure. The food from Flamman restaurant was really great. Very high quality, and you can really taste the love they put into their food. The beds in the Dome are comfortable. We had a great time zip-lining right in the park itself. It was fantastic with all that snow. I highly recommend it. You do have to leave the Dome to use the restroom, though.

Great place!! Love, love, love it! A wonderful family experience. We had an awesome day hanging out in the trees. We brought our own lunch. There’s a grill area available. Lots of ziplines , and both easy and challenging trails. My youngest was only two the first time we went.

Beautiful place. A truly beautiful place! We stayed in a Dome, which was absolutely lovely. A great place for kids and adults alike. We rented a canoe and had a really nice time paddling. Our 3-year-old daughter climbed at the climbing park and loved it. We’ll be back.

Adventure in a fantastic setting! Nestled naturally in the landscape lies the high-altitude course—which has to be the most beautiful in the world. Even though there were a lot of people, it never felt crowded. Norway really knows how to make the most of its natural surroundings. Convenient online advance booking. Warm welcome; clean and well-maintained. I booked online the day before, and then all I had to do was give my name and pick up my gear. Good safety briefing. Dedicated staff and a well-maintained facility earned top marks. We had a great day at the climbing park—the little ones on the Yellow Course and the older kids on the Green and Blue courses. Without exception, the staff were attentive, helpful, and positive no matter what we needed. It’s great that there are grills for barbecuing, as well as tables and benches. It’s a short walk from the parking lot, so you can grab what you need when it’s time to eat, but there’s also plenty of space to set things down at tables and under trees while you’re climbing. Best Climbing Park The best climbing park we’ve ever been to. Friendly and skilled staff! We have three children ages 2, 5, and 7, and there was something for everyone here. Adrenaline rushes for the whole family in breathtaking natural surroundings. I really recommend everyone go here and spend a whole day! The hours fly by because you’re having so much fun. Our 3-year-old son had just as much fun as we adults did. We’ll definitely be back!

It was fantastic. We spent the night in the Arctic Dome. We had free access to SUP boards and canoes in the evening. Both the kids and the adults had a great time. On day two, we went to the park. Great park! Highly recommended! I’d give the whole stay a 9.8 out of 10. The only downside was the abundance of gnats and mosquitoes, but I guess we have to expect that.

The "Bjørnehiene" are small cabins built into the terrain and can accommodate up to six people. They are beautifully situated with a view of Langhalstjønna, and are just a short distance from both the restroom and Langhuset (the common house).

To experience the best that Rypetoppen has to offer, we recommend setting aside two days. That will give you time to explore the climbing park, experience Kongeørna, and take part in our guided activities, while also enjoying an overnight stay close to nature.

Even if you only have one day to spare, it’s still entirely possible to have a fantastic experience. Choose between the climbing park, a guided activity, or one of our pre-planned packages—and we’ll help you find what works best for your visit.

Rypetoppen is very family-friendly and offers climbing experiences for all ages and skill levels. We have five different difficulty levels on our routes, ranging from the easiest yellow routes—designed for our youngest adventurers—to our most challenging black route, which puts even experienced climbers to the test.

Climbing Park

At Rypetoppen, you can buy hot food such as hot dogs, pizza, or our popular hamburger made with locally sourced meat from Meråker Kjøtt. We also have plenty of barbecue areas for those who wish to bring their own food.

At Gamma, you'll also find bars, drinks, ice cream, and other snacks—perfect for a quick break between activities.

We are located about an hour’s drive from Trondheim Airport and 1.5 hours from Trondheim, near Meråker just before the Swedish border. Nestled in the heart of the Norwegian boreal forest and surrounded by beautiful mountains, Rypetoppen offers a unique nature experience far removed from the stresses of everyday life.
